Du 18 au 27 mars, le collège Saint-Genès a accueilli 10 jeunes américains âgés de 13 à 14ans dans le cadre d’un premier échange linguistique avec l’école privée Riverdale située  à une trentaine de minutes de Manhattan à  NEW YORK.

Ce séjour a permis  à ces élèves d’assister  à des cours avec leurs correspondants français, de visiter Arcachon, la Dune du Pyla, Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux ….

Nous avons rencontré des jeunes souriants, volontaires, sérieux, ayant la volonté de progresser en français et faisant beaucoup d’efforts pour s’exprimer le plus souvent possible.
Nous remercions particulièrement Katti WACHS et Sarah GROVER les professeurs américains encadrant le groupe, Chantal MOREAU, professeur d’anglais pour son aide précieuse ainsi que les parents et élèves français pour leur accueil.

Notre visite à New York s’effectuera  du 27 octobre au 5 novembre.

From March 18th to 27th, Saint-Genès college had 10 American guests, aged 13 and 14 years old, as a first language exchange with the private Middle school of Riverdale, located within thirty minutes of Manhattan,New York.

During their stay, the young American students attended classes with their exchange partners, and visited Arcachon, the Pyla sand dune, Saint Emilion, and of course, Bordeaux…

We were delighted to meet serious,open ,keen young people, willing to improve their knowledge of the French language,and trying hard to speak French as often as possible.

A warm thank you to Katti WACHS and Sarah GROVER,the two American teachers in charge of the group, Chantal MOREAU, English teacher, for helping with the exchange, and the parents and French students for their kind care.

Our visit in New-York will be from October 27th, to November 5th.
